Scars Above is a challenging sci-fi third-person action adventure shooter combining the rewarding feel of overcoming difficulty with a compelling and intricate story, set in a mysterious alien world to explore.

I designed a HUD concept for Scars Above by Mad Head Games, focusing on clarity, usability, and visual cohesion. The concept emphasized intuitive layout of player stats, abilities, and in-game notifications, ensuring critical information was accessible without distracting from the gameplay. My work aimed to enhance player immersion while maintaining the game’s dark, atmospheric aesthetic.
