The FIFA games, in particular, have set the standard for virtual soccer simulations, capturing the essence of the sport with cutting-edge graphics, authentic gameplay, and extensive features. As a pivotal player in the sports gaming industry, EA Sports continues to innovate, bringing the excitement of various sports to gaming enthusiasts worldwide.

"FIFA 18" was a highly anticipated installment in the long-running FIFA series developed by EA Sports. Released in 2017, it continued the franchise's tradition of delivering a realistic and immersive soccer (football) gaming experience.

The Ultimate Team mode, where players build their dream squads by collecting cards representing footballers, continued to be a central feature. It received updates and new content, offering players more ways to assemble and compete with their teams online.

FIFA 18 was well-received by both critics and fans, praised for its visual improvements, engaging story mode, and refinements in gameplay mechanics. It remained a popular choice among soccer gaming enthusiasts and contributed to the series' ongoing success.


My role in EA Sports

As a User Interface Designer for FIFA 18 Ultimate Team's LiveOps art, my role was pivotal in shaping the ongoing visual experience for players. I collaborated closely with a talented team to create and implement in-game UI elements, ensuring a seamless integration of new content, events, and features within the Ultimate Team mode.

My contributions revolved around conceptualizing, designing, and refining UI components that aligned with the dynamic nature of LiveOps. This involved creating visually captivating assets, such as promotional banners, event-specific interfaces, and in-game notifications. I focused on maintaining a consistent visual identity while adapting to the ever-evolving content released during LiveOps.

A key aspect of my role was to ensure that the UI designs effectively communicated information about ongoing events, promotions, and rewards. This required a keen understanding of player engagement and behavior, enabling me to craft UI elements that enticed and guided players through the various features and offerings within Ultimate Team.

Iterative design processes were crucial. I regularly collaborated with cross-functional teams, including artists, developers, and product managers, to iterate on designs based on feedback, user data, and industry trends. This agile approach allowed us to swiftly adapt the UI to meet changing player needs and preferences.

Beyond design, I was involved in implementing and testing the UI assets within the game engine, ensuring they functioned flawlessly across different platforms and screen sizes. This meticulous attention to detail was crucial in delivering a polished and immersive user experience for FIFA 18 Ultimate Team players.

My role was about more than just creating visual assets; it was about crafting an engaging and responsive UI that complemented the dynamic nature of LiveOps, enriching the experience for players and contributing to the ongoing excitement of FIFA 18 Ultimate Team.
